Ruthie has some beautiful hens laying some delicious and nutritious eggs. All birds are raised on grass (mostly various cover crops) and fed certified organic feed (from Nature's Grown Organics). They also eat all kinds of extra things like insects, worms, and practically any vegetables we throw their way (pac choi is their favorite!).

The hens produce amazingly nutritious eggs rich in beta carotene and folic acid. They are also super great for the farm fertility as we work them into the crop rotation to precede vegetable plantings.

We are expanding the flock for 2012! If you are a CSA member and pick-up your share at the farm or in Kzoo, tack on an egg share for your 2012 membership.
